Beginning September 1, 2025, Navitus Health Solutions will replace Costco Health Solutions as your Pharmacy Benefit Manager.

Background

In January 2025, Costco Health Solutions made the decision to stop providing Pharmacy Benefit Management services, transitioning clients (including the Alaska Teamster-Employer Welfare Trust) to its subsidiary, Navitus Health Solutions.

Navitus Health Solutions already manages Costco’s pharmacy customer service and online mail order pharmacy services for the Alaska Teamster-Employer Welfare Trust and will begin managing pharmacy benefits as well on September 1, 2025.

What this means for you

On September 1, 2025, the following will change:

  • NEW ID Cards: You will receive your new ID card from the Alaska Teamster-Employer Welfare Trust in the mail, and it will list Navitus Health Solutions as the Pharmacy Benefit Manager with new contact information.

Note: If you do not receive your new card by September 1, 2025, you can still use your old card until it arrives as only the Pharmacy Benefit Manager is changing, not the Pharmacy Plan itself.

  • NEW Customer Care Phone Number: If you have any questions you can speak to the Navitus Customer Care team 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Just call 855-847-1025 toll-free.
  • NEW Member Portal: You will have access to the Navitus member portal and mobile app on your effective date of September 1, 2025. The portal and mobile app will give you access to helpful information including:
    • Network pharmacies near you
    • Cost comparison tools
    • Your pharmacy plan details
    • Your digital ID card

  • NEW Specialty Drug Provider: Lumicera Health Services is the new specialty drug provider. Ordering from Lumicera is simple — just call a patient care specialist at 855-847-3553. They will help you and your prescriber get set up.

What’s staying the same

On September 1, 2025, the following will remain the same:

  • Prescription Drug Benefit: What the Plan covers (outlined in the Summary Plan Description) will remain the same, including co-pays, out-of-pocket maximums, etc.
  • Pharmacy Plan Information: Your Rx ID and plan numbers will remain the same:
    • RxBIN: 016127
    • RxPCN: CWHS
    • RxGroup: AKT
  • Mail Order Pharmacy: Costco Pharmacy will remain the Alaska Teamster-Employer Welfare Trust’s mail order pharmacy.

You should receive a welcome letter and new ID cards from the Trust office by August 30, 2025. If you do not receive your cards by then, please contact the Trust office at 907-751-9700.

The effective date of the change in Pharmacy Benefit Manager will be September 1, 2025.
