It is great having a pension to provide peace of mind not to worry about being able to pay bills, buy necessities, travel. I talk to other people in this area who worked nonunion and didn’t think ahead to put money away for the future and now they’re scratching and clawing to make ends meet.
My only regret is not listening to my older brother, who told me I should join the Teamsters in 1975 instead of waiting till 1980.
