Who We Serve
Teamsters Local 959 represents over 5,000 members working across more than 100 employers in nearly every industry across Alaska. From truck drivers and construction workers to hospital staff and airline pilots, Local 959 members are the backbone of Alaska’s economy. The union’s strength lies in its active and engaged membership, ensuring industry-leading wages, benefits, and working conditions.
Alaska Teamster-Employer Welfare Trust
The Alaska Teamster-Employer Welfare Trust provides high-quality healthcare coverage, including medical, dental, and hospital care for eligible members and their families. Medical and dental benefits (other than Retiree benefits obtained through TEAMStar) are not paid by an insurance company; they are paid directly by the Plan.
