Your HRA gives you added flexibility to manage out-of-pocket health costs while making the most of your Plan benefits. Here are some of the most commonly asked questions about the HRA:

How Does the HRA Work?

• The HRA is an employer-funded benefit that helps you pay for eligible health care expenses for you and your covered family members.
• You are eligible for the HRA when you become eligible for medical benefits, and when HRA contributions are made on your behalf. Note: If contributions are made while you’re not yet eligible, those funds are held and added to your account once you become eligible.
• Funds do not expire and remain available as long as there’s a balance – even if you retire or leave active employment.

What are Eligible Health Care Expenses?

You can use HRA funds to pay or be reimbursed for:

• Medical, prescription, dental, and vision expenses
• Deductibles and copays
• Certain expenses not fully covered by the Plan
• Self-payments or COBRA premiums to maintain coverage

How do I Use and Manage my Account?

• You’ll receive a debit card for eligible expenses like copays and deductibles.
• For other expenses (such as dental or vision), submit a reimbursement claim by logging in to the Benesys member portal or through the HRA Benesys app.

You will need itemized documentation showing the service, date, and cost. Claims must be submitted within one year of when the expense was incurred.

For questions regarding your HRA benefits, please contact the HRA department at 800-714-3209.

A small monthly administrative fee is deducted from your HRA balance. If you choose, you may permanently opt out of the HRA at any time by contacting the Administrative Office.
