Health and Welfare Customer Service
Reports To: Administrator
Job Summary
Communicates medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, HRA, and life insurance benefits, and other plan features to plan participants and their beneficiaries. To apply, please submit resumes to denniec@959trusts.com.
Essential Functions
- Provides customer service in Health & Welfare for all benefit programs
- Resolves improper processing of eligibility, medical, HRA accounts, prescription, dental, and vision claims
- Processes Eligibility maintenance for Open Enrollment, Special/Qualifying Enrollments
- Submit life insurance claims to carrier
- Attends annual health fairs
- Prepares new member eligibility packets
- Prepares reinstatement eligibility letters
- Prepares self-payment letters
- Process and posts member self-payments; checks, and PayPal
- Process retiree self-payment changes
Job Requirements and Qualifications
- Three or more years of comparable work experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of ERISA, the governing law
- Knowledge of ACA
- Complete understanding of CPT (Current Procedure Terminology) codes, ICD-10 codes, HCPCS (Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System) codes and CDT (dental and nomenclature) codes
- Certification of completion for claims processing, claims coding, and medical terminology (recommended)
- Ability to effectively communicate complex issues in both written and verbal form
- Ability to understand the Summary Plan Description for Health & Welfare and articulate the provisions to participants

Wage & Benefits: $27.00/hr & benefits
